Visit to Shillong White water ;Village

Consists of three modern cabins, and an apartment, all with ensuite bathrooms, and a camping ground with public toilets, and dharba style el fresco restaurant serving buffet style international cuisine, overlooking the river. The location is very quiet and beautiful, surrounded on one side by a deep jungle and on the other by a lush tea garden. As well as kayaking there is swimming, walking, trekking and fishing to experience. Our elevation is 740m (2400ft) giving pleasant temperatures all year round.

The River

We are situated on the banks of the Umtrew River and the water is released daily from the hydro station, and although timing are irregular, there is good water levels most days. The waters at the Village are class 2-4. World class kayakers come here, as well as tourists that want to try kayaking, or those who want to learn to kayak. We have a small, quiet swimming hole where we introduce people to kayaking in a safe, controlled setting. After two days practice the student kayaker can proceed to the moving water, and then to small rapids.
